A company can go public and gain listing on the OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB) by completing a merger into a Non-Reporting Pink Sheet Shell Company. So, why use a Pink Sheet Shell to gain entry onto the OTCBB? One word… PRICE! Pink Sheet Shells are priced between $125,000 and $200,000, numbers far below the $600,000 to $800,000 that OTCBB Shells usually command. Keep in mind, however, that there are two substantial differences. For one thing, if you buy a Pink Sheet Shell, there are no guarantees that you will be able to qualify for listing on the OTCBB. Additionally, there is a substantial time difference to go from listing on the Pink Sheets to the OTCBB.
