My prediction is reverse shell mergers will become the number one choice for companies to go public in the future. Last year over 220 reverse mergers were performed. 2008 will be the first year in history that reverse mergers will top the number of IPO’s.

With tier one underwriters disappearing from the landscape independent or boutique broker dealers will slowly begin to fill the void. The only problem is that most companies in the foreseeable future will not have the luxury of waiting the required time it takes to attract an underwriter and wait for SEC and FINRA to review and approve their IPO. With Survival will become the future reality for many companies. With that in mind it is this writers opinion that smart companies will opt for a reverse merger into an OTCBB shell. It is by far the quickest, fastest and most direct move a company can make to be guaranteed they will be public in a timely manner and gain access the capital markets.
